UA Ruhr top research receives 48 million euros for 2025

On December 12, Ina Brandes, Minister for Culture and Science in North Rhine-Westphalia, visited TU Dortmund to hand over the allocation notice for the University Alliance Ruhr to the university managements of Ruhr-Universität-Bochum, Technische Universität Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Ms. Brandes said: "Excellent science needs excellent equipment and planning security. That is why I am delighted that we are today providing the Research Alliance Ruhr with a further 48 million euros to enable the expansion of this unique alliance of three universities in the Ruhr region. In this alliance, the universities can exploit their potential even more effectively and make a valuable contribution to North Rhine-Westphalia's international standing as a center of science. Here, solutions are being devised for the urgent questions of the future for people's everyday lives, such as energy supply, digitization and healthcare. [Translated from German]"
