The second edition of the book "Sociology of Health and Illness", edited by M. Richter and K. Hurrelmann and published by Springer Verlag, has recently been published. In addition to a contribution by Maximiliane Wilkesmann entitled "Transformation of the hospital organization", the second edition was supplemented with a contribution by Judith Becker and Maximiliane Wilkesmann entitled "Sociology of the pharmacy. A supporting pillar of the healthcare system in transition".
