We are pleased to announce that our latest research article ‘From leisure to labour: How workations are reshaping hospitality and destination marketing in the era of New Work’ has been published online first in the renowned Journal of Destination Marketing & Management. The study examines how the phenomenon of ‘workation’ - the combination of work and holidays - is changing the tourism and hospitality industry. Based on interviews with hotel managers and workation users, we show how accommodation and destinations are adapting to the new needs of this growing target group in the age of New Work.
