Appointment to the scientific advisory board of DEHOGA Nordrhein

Prof. Dr. Maximiliane Wilkesmann wurde in den wissenschaftlichen Beirat (Wissenschaftsrat) des Deutschen Hotel- und Gaststättenverbands e. V. (DEHOGA), dem Branchenverband des deutschen Hotel- und Gaststättengewerbes berufen.

On 5 February, Prof. Dr Maximiliane Wilkesmann was appointed to the ‘Science Council’ of DEHOGA Nordrhein e.V.. The certificates of appointment were presented by State Secretary Matthias Heidmeier from the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia and Patrick Rothkopf, President of DEHOGA Nordrhein.

In our meeting today, we looked at highly relevant topics for the future of the industry. The spectrum ranged from digital transformation and AI integration to strategic HR management and sustainable concepts in community catering. With my academic expertise, I would like to contribute to developing evidence-based solutions for the diverse challenges facing the hospitality industry. The variety of topics - from digitalisation and employer branding to empirical research into children's nutrition - shows the great potential for socially relevant and innovative research approaches. I am looking forward to bridging the gap between science and practice and, together with my colleagues from the Scientific Board providing forward-looking impetus for the hospitality industry in NRW.
